Subject: BS: Book of the Week as podcast? From: GUEST,JTT Date: 10 May 06 - 07:36 PM I often take long journeys, and it would be handy to kick back and listen to a book with my eyes closed. (No, I'm not driving.) Last time was last week, and I'd vaguely planned to go and download Irene Nemirovsky's wonderful book Suite Francaise from the BBC Radio 4 website. But it wasn't there - apparently they don't keep an archive of Books of the Week. Even if it had been, you have to "listen online" rather than downloading and being able to bring it away and listen in your own time and space. I can, of course, hang around and use a program that will "tap" the file as it plays and make it into an mp3. But is there any other way of getting these books as usable Pod files? Does the BBC provide them as podcasts? Anyone know? |
