Subject: RE: BS: Big Brother 2006 From: Strollin' Johnny Date: 30 Jun 06 - 12:17 PM Lea (she must be a total dimmock, can't even spell a simple name like Leah properly) seems to be a complete nutcase. Doesn't she hear the words she speaks? She says something to one person, and then immediately denies to another that she ever said it. Nutty as a fruitcake. And as for The Wide-Mouthed Frog - words fail me (although they seldom fail her, the gobby little twat). S:0) |
Subject: RE: BS: Big Brother 2006 From: The Shambles Date: 01 Jul 06 - 10:16 AM In the crowd at Headingly for the one day International Cricket - today, along with Smurfs and the usual men dressed up as nuns - there were not one, but two Leah look-a-likes in the crowd. A kind of fame already............... |

Subject: RE: BS: Big Brother 2006 From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 02 Jul 06 - 09:05 AM In the Australian Version - today 2 men have been escorted from the set, after claims of sexual assault. No charges have yet been laid - Police say no complaint has yet been lodged. Maybe this will be the last season... |
Subject: RE: BS: Big Brother 2006 From: Strollin' Johnny Date: 02 Jul 06 - 12:06 PM Come on now Foolestroupe, at least it gives me something to shout and swear at the telly about. Similar to our footie and cricket teams but without the feelings of national disgrace! :-) |
Subject: RE: BS: Big Brother 2006 From: GUEST Date: 02 Jul 06 - 05:40 PM I've just got home from Cleckheaton folk festival... had a brilliant time... and have just read the why do you go to festivals thread... and I've had a thought (it doesn't happen often) what about a BB type reality TV programme about folk festivals... 'Its 3 am and most of the festival mates are in the foodtent' this thread is LUDICROUS... LUDICROUS |
Subject: RE: BS: Big Brother 2006 From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 02 Jul 06 - 08:13 PM Channel 10 has agreed to not replay the particular footage, a copy of which has been handed to the Police. "No charges have yet been laid - Police say no complaint has yet been lodged." Still no change there. And now the Pollies have jumped in - since the QLD Govt gives a substantial cash incentive to the makers (making jobs you know!), there is now much pressure to cease that, and even shut down the show, as it 'puts people under pressure to behave in a bad manner for reward'. |
Subject: RE: BS: Big Brother 2006 From: The Shambles Date: 03 Jul 06 - 02:52 AM even shut down the show, as it 'puts people under pressure to behave in a bad manner for reward' Are they proposing to put an end to all employment - for the same reason? These shows are just a mirror - and often we don't like the image we see reflected back at us. You can break all the mirrors but - unless you take steps to change it - the image will remain the same. |

Subject: RE: BS: Big Brother 2006 From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 03 Jul 06 - 09:03 AM Well, even Little Johnny has said that since the television industry wants to be self regulated, Channel 10 should regulate itself and 'take that stupid show off air'. Channel 10 keeps saying that the guys did nothing 'wrong', but also keeps saying that the two guys were expelled for 'breaking the rules'... I'm confused... if they 'did nothing wrong', why were they expelled? Incidentally, a couple of days before, the same girl had been told by BB that she had to kiss al the guys on the mouth within a certain time - apparently some authorities claim that the forcing of an unwanted kiss is 'sexual assault'. And the lone member in Parliament (who holds the balance of power) of The Family First Party has said that such behaviour televised into the home influences the young to think that such contrived behaviour is 'normal'. So now all the competing commercial TV stations have aired the footage - it took place at 3 am in the morning, broadcast live only via the web site, and it shows the giggling lady accepting an invitation into the bed shared by the two guys, and receiving a 'turkey slap' from one of the guys... You don't know what that is? I ain't gonna say, but here's a hint... "gobble, gobble"... |
