I saw him do that one, in front of a German audience, at a festival called "Volk in den Bergen", back in 1979. I thought the last line was, "And tomorrow I shall gripe again". I could be wrong though... It was very funny and it was quite amazing to watch him make it work so well in front of a German audience.
I saw Dick Gaughan there too. He came over as a bit of a hard case. But boy could he sing and play!

While we're talking about Robin's recitations... years ago I heard a cassette recording of Robin telling a very long, VERY funny story of 'Five lads, all named Jimmy.' If anyone has a line on a recording of that story, please mention it here.

Thanks, Malcolm. The link katlaughing provided had a lot information, but no access to lyrics. I don't think it's been recorded by Williamson, since I have most of his recordings. I'll check out the email link.

Years ago I heard Robin Williamson and His Merry Band. In one segment of the show, he did a recitation about a man who was constantly complaining. Does anyone know whether it was written by Robin, or where I could find the words? I just remember the last phrase, "and I will always be complaining." It was recited with the usual poetic meter and rhymes. If I had more information, I would provide it. Thanks.
