Subject: Jeremiah's group got gig! (Jun 16/06) From: Jeremiah McCaw Date: 12 Jun 06 - 02:26 AM On the hopeful chance that some Mudcatters (Mudcateers?) might be out and about in the Hamilton, Ontario area this Friday, here's some shameless self-promotion for the trio I'm part of with Jim Hodges (some of you who are Woods people know him) and Stewart McPhail (on Mudcat, but usually just lurks). We're sort of an old time / folk / other group who believe (as Michelle Shocked put it) "that music is far too important to be left to the professionals"! It'd be lovely to see some folks I know, and some I don't yet. Here's the info from out (wanted?) poster: Ezeduzit - a stringband - "an eclectic mix of old tyme, folk, country, contemporary & original" in concert Friday, June 16. 9 pm at "FRWY.ca " 333 King Street East (at Wellington) in Hamilton a bargain at $5 info: 519-753-2820 email jeremiah@bfree.on.ca website: http://jeremiah.ca & click on the "Ezeduzit" link (with guest artist) Rob Thorpe website: http://ca.geocities.com/ptchworks |

Subject: RE: Jeremiah's group got gig! (Jun 16/06) From: Jeremiah McCaw Date: 12 Jun 06 - 02:33 AM Now if I could afford a newspaper ad, it'd read something like this: AUDIENCE AUDITION The old tyme/roots trio EZEDUZIT announces an audience audition to be held on Friday, June 16, 2006 Those wishing to apply to be members of Ezeduzit's audience should appear for 9 o'clock in the evening at FRWY.ca 333 King Street East (at Wellington) There is a $5 audition fee. Successful applicants will be invited to apply again . . . and again . . . and again . . . and . . . |

Subject: RE: Jeremiah's group got gig! (Jun 16/06) From: Mooh Date: 12 Jun 06 - 08:06 AM Jeremiah...There's a genuine downside to being a working musician, one can't always get out and support other working musicians! Good luck anyway, and have a great time, it sounds like fun! Peace, Mooh. |

Subject: RE: Jeremiah's group got gig! (Jun 16/06) From: Jeremiah McCaw Date: 15 Jun 06 - 02:26 AM Ah! Thought I might elicit at least a 'hello' from you, Mooh. Hope things are going well in Goderich. Notice how cleverly I waited to respond so that the gig announcement would refresh just before the gig. :-) Putting the 'shame' in 'shameless self-promotion'! . . . |

Subject: RE: Jeremiah's group got gig! (Jun 16/06) From: Mooh Date: 15 Jun 06 - 09:31 AM Yeah, and it's free! (The promotion I mean.) All's well here, but busy...nursing home gig today (fiddle/guitar duo), cancer walk gig tomorrow and pub gig Saturday (both with the rockin' blues/originals band), student recital Sunday. Are you around for the Celtic Festival this year? Peace, Mooh. |
