Subject: RE: BS: Republican weenie talk From: Emma B Date: 10 Aug 06 - 06:49 AM Well being a Brit I had to look up "weenie" to find out just why it might be insulting - here it just means tiny and is usually accommpanied by teeny as in "just a teeny weeny more whisky please" Thank you guest for introducing me to Mike Reed's hilarious "Flame Warriors" here it explains so much about mudcat folks! mmmm I wonder which one is me? |

Subject: RE: BS: Republican weenie talk From: Rapparee Date: 10 Aug 06 - 09:34 AM Well, it is also a diminutive for "weiner" (e.g., weenie roast) and refers to someone who is, shall we say?, less than forceful and/or decisive. ("Why are there so many weenies in the Congress??") "Weinerhead" was the Christmas-epithet-of-choice for my oldest Great-nephew (who is four years old). "Grandpa Weinerhead" got lots of hugs, I understand. |

Subject: RE: BS: Republican weenie talk From: GUEST Date: 10 Aug 06 - 11:35 AM Happy to see a google led to Mike's Flame Warrior site. I've used it to link to in the midst of a few flame wars here and elsewhere. It never fails to leave the person to whom I've directed towards the link mortified! I've always felt left out that he hasn't added anything for anons, for silly pseudos, and other entertaining net identity benders. Sniff, sniff. But we must carry on, no matter how heavy the burden of net identity bending becomes... |

Subject: RE: BS: Republican weenie talk From: GUEST Date: 10 Aug 06 - 12:10 PM You would have to know what arrogant rat bastards both Pawlenty and Kennedy are. Pawlenty is mighty pissed that association with his hero Dubya is causing Democrats and Republicans alike to lose so many elections. You see, there is a history of some bad blood between the boys here. The Bush/Cheney Republican party has been grooming Pawlenty for higher office for quite awhile now. Cheney hand picked Sen. Norm Coleman to run against Wellstone, Pawlenty to run for governor, and Kennedy for the one of MN's largest Republican suburban House seats. But Pawlenty had intended to run for senator, not governor. However, he was slapped down by Cheney himself, and told to run for governor. No one knows for certain what the quid pro quo was, but everyone knows Pawlenty has his eye on the US Senate. So he is jealous that Kennedy, a mealy mouthed, rubber stamping Republican yes man, has the shot at the golden ring he is missing out on. Hence, the weenie remark to the national media while at the governor's conference. |
