I got a piece of spam at work the other day, can't even remember what it was for (Canadian drugs? fake Rolexes? "Toys"?), but the "name" of the sender grabbed my attention and my sense of humor -- it was from "Claudius Banks".

Doya think it's a folkie's day job?!?

I didn't put it in the BS section because it actually STARTED about someone using a folk song title as, perhaps, an in joke, for a name.

Sigh.

I should have known it would deteriorate... ;-)

Thing is, there are very few people in the world at large that I could share this with and have them "get it" -- worse than making an obscure literary reference.

So, do you think it's a folkie working at a boring day job and getting his jollies by obscure references to songs?

Might just as well be a reference to Robert Graves. Which, come to think of it, is probably also far too obscure for Lizzie Cornish. Not that I would want to encourage slightly more upmarket spam.
