Just a quick word-up on this: there is going to be a performance at 6pm, 30th September, at St Margaret's Church, Tanfield Village, Co Durham in memory of its most famous son, the great pitman poet Tommy Armstrong.

The show will feature Tom Gilfellon, Benny Graham and Johnny Handle as well as, intriguingly, a song performed by two of the poet's living relatives!!

I'll post more news (like where to get tickets) as soon as I have more details.

The idea is to initiate an annual festival - let's hope enough of you come along to encourage this!

Hi all, good to see there's interest: For further info regarding tickets, you can contact Gerald Ash 0191 5362498 or Joe Wilson (yes, a happy coincidence of a name!) on joe.wilson@btinternet.com or 01207 280101.
