About a year ago, Time magazine published a special issue listing the 100 most influential people in America. For each one there was a short essay written by someone who was familiar with them.

Karl Rove's essay was written by his long-time opponent James Carville who said he had the utmost respect for Rove because Rove twice got George Bush elected president when polls showed that the majority of the American population opposed his views on virtually every important issue.

So, whatever is up his sleeve will be important to the future of this country.
