Subject: Review: Music on Arran in 2006 From: DoctorJug Date: 25 Aug 06 - 03:04 AM Last night Mr. & Mrs. Scarecrow crossed the island to Brodick to see and hear Aly Bain and Phil Cunningham. We knew what to expect, but the virtuosity, joy, warmth and humour still blew us away. Mr. C's tall stories are among the best. The gig was promoted by a new face in Arran music, who's working hard to bring known names and high-quality folk and blues acts to the island. See www.tamskinnerpresents.co.uk if you think you can visit Arran this year. And don't forget the family ceilidh with the Bouguillie Band on Thursdays in Lochranza. Don't be put off by the midges. Avon Skin So Soft keeps them away. |

Fantastic music though - must keep track of their gigs. |
