Instead of starting a thread called I read it in the newspaper (Which is one of the greats) version 2, The New Stark Times is an idea I just had for an online newspaper that has True Headlines and stories
- they simply are historical and 100% true - but virtually a secret at the time they happened or ignored altogether.
"Old news makes good news" expecially if you never knew.

One modest example:

H bomb explodes 500 miles from San Diego !

In an effort to determine how effective H bombs are on submarines at various distances and depths from an H bomb blast, the Defense Dept. has exploded a 15 megaton device 2000 feet under the sea and due west of San Diego California.

Historians would love to send submissions and I believe the public would get a kick out of getting the truth no matter how old it is.

Another example:

CIA Clueless of Islamic Revolution

The USA installed Shaw of Iran has fled Iran and the US embassy has been stormed taking many hostages. Film footage of US Marines laying down their arms and surrendering have found their way to Washington DC.

The rule of the paper is truth first last and always.
I don't think there should even be a limit on how old an accurate news story may be.
Of course this anti revisionist concept will be scorned for being left hand spun lies. Corporations and their politicians will (and should) feel their ox has been gored by the NEW STARK TIMES
A partnership with Snopes.com would be perfect.
