Replenished my stock of ales and lagers the other evening from my favorite outlet. Couldn't resist snagging a single bottle of "Monty Python Ale".

Anybody out there tried it?

Anybody have any bizarre side-effects from drinking it (I am a bit concerned about developing a silly walk if I drink it).

And one of these days I'll learn not to hit return until I write something.

I tried a bottle of MPA - and then tried to climb both peaks of Mount Everests.

Soon you feel like a large cartoon foot has descended from above and crushed you flat. And the sound effect which accompanies that-- I knew all along it had to be a beer fart.

You'll need a few more buddies, for the twit race. I say recruit 'em right here. Plenty qualified.

Maybe if you drink too much of it you might end up pushing up the daisies - off the twig - kicked the bucket - shuffled off your mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile! And then you might become an EX-PARROT!!

You might be tempted to summarise Proust.

I've had Holy Grail Ale and that's not easy to say after a few.

Some bottles very close to the printed use by date landed in Australia along with a lot of other "novelty" beers - including "Greengrass Ale" - complete with his beaming picture, and a friend bought some as her Xmas pressies for the guys she knows...

It's still on my shelf.

I'm still quaking in fear....

I first saw it ("Monty Python's Holy Ail", with the "Gr" crossed out)at the Black Sheep Brewery in Yorkshire, several years ago. Since then my excellent local liquor store in Massachusetts has started stocking it; it's pretty good, too! I especially like that the label informs us it's been "tempered over burning witches"!
