I started my birthday last night watching an old Marx Brothers movie, and posting on the Annexe because the 'Cat was down. It's nice to see that she's back in time to celebrate HER birthday (I think of Mudcat as female, like her offspring, the MOAB).

Not late at all Bente. The actual date of my birthday is the 28th, and here in Oz we still have a couple more hours to go yet before it's over. Thanks for the Aussie colours!

Hilda fish, I fully intend to make it birthday week, starting today. I'm on holidays now, so it should be a good week. Going out for dinner with Dale and John Dengate tomorrow night (it's his birthday on Sunday, so a double celebration), over to my son's place on Saturday night, and at the moment the plan for Sunday is a leisurely day pottering round the garden at home and a night time movie fest of Pink Panther movies. By the way, our mutual friend freda underhill has been rather conspicuous by her absence. I suppose she'll emerge at the weekend.

Liz, no chocolate tart on the horizon yet, but the apple crumble John made is rather good!

Thanks again guys. It feels more like my birthday today than yesterday actually. The day started off yesterday sorta ho hum and degenerated into shitty - only improving somewhat when I got home and had a lovely dinner cooked for me. Today I'm on holidays and we're going out tonight, so let the party continue!

We've been to this restaurant before, so I don't think there'll be too much whining, just wining and dining, and afterwards, John, my designated driver, who handily is not a drinker, can take me home.
