Subject: Trip to Newcastle-upon-Tyne From: GUEST,Northerner Date: 12 Oct 06 - 08:34 AM I'm considering a trip up to Newcastle-upon-Tyne to go to the storytelling circle there on Friday 20th October. Nothing definite yet, nothing booked. I was wondering if anyone knew of anything good that I might do on a day adjoining my night out, i.e. on the Saturday. Folk club or folk concert preferably. Would then book into a B & B for an extra night. Otherwise would simply travel back the next day. So far, searches through google don't show anything interesting. I will be using public transport so don't want to travel far. Thank you. |

The Davy Lamp is too far away for me to get to with no car (a friend has taken me there in his car this spring). The Tyneside Irish Centre sounds interesting though. May be pay a visit there sometime. |
