Help! CapriUni has written a One Off story for our grandson Owen and I need an illustrator. Alice doesn't have time and I haven't heard from freda underhill. Not hilda fish's kind of thing. Can't find anybody local to me either. I'll pay, at least a bit!!!

How about Putting an ad in the local paper.

Audition a few, and then when you've found someone appropriate and fresh and new, who doesn't try to bullshit you with jargon or "industry" speak, but has a bit of vision, arrange the terms of a collaboration, get it checked by a lawyer friend (or read about copyright etc) and then try to get it published.

Should be pretty simple, 50/50 I'd have thought for writer and illustrator.

If it doesn't work then you have your own unique copy for free ;-)

Call the college art dept. in Casper, unless there is one closer. There are some very talented faculty and students, at least there were when I was there. Neat idea!

unfortunately i am caught up in a very ratty race right now - travelling between two cities for work and play. I don't have any time to do anything much, let alone artwork right now - good luck - the perfect person is waiting to create for you!!

Hedingham Fair take commissions, Google Hedingham or Karen Cater and you'll get their site.

If you were in the UK, you might find you'd already been immortalised....
