Subject: RE: Anyone know Jim Radford? From: Dave the Gnome Date: 11 Nov 06 - 11:59 AM I thought it was quite good simply because the caption when he was speaking said 'Jim Radford - Folk Singer'. Not often you see that on TV without someone taking the piss! :D (tG) |
Subject: RE: Anyone know Jim Radford? From: Girl Friday Date: 11 Nov 06 - 09:52 PM No doupt that Jim has written very many better songs than "Ryanair". It's not so much a song, more of a social-economic comment, and written from life, it certainly went down well at the Irish pub we were at last night. |

Subject: RE: Anyone know Jim Radford? From: GUEST,Grateful Date: 10 Jun 14 - 03:15 AM I've been to the World War cemeteries in France and have been very moved. But the best memorial I have yet encountered was Jim's song on the D Day concert. I was a soldier for a little while and any soldier would be proud to sing that song just like that - honest, no frills, all heart. |
