From: Elmer Fudd Date: 02 Dec 06 - 10:48 AM Inspired by the many mudcatters who write in a wide variety of genres, both professionally and nonprofessionally, I am now wondering who creates in the visual arts. 1. I don't give a hoot whether or not you have sold your work (remember the old saw about van Gogh never having sold a painting in his lifetime). 2. I also don't want to debate where the line between arts and crafts gets drawn. Save it for William Morris. You define it as art and that's good enough for this thread. Do you paint? Draw? Sculpt? Carve wood? Scrimshaw? Printmaking? Photography? Textile arts? Calligraphy? Ceramics? What's your visual artistic expression? Elmer |
