Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts, please From: Cruiser Date: 13 Dec 06 - 05:36 PM Hey wealthy (Ha Ha) Mudcatters (I better address this to all 'Catters or some will just skip overt the wealthy and miss my post). How about let's all pitch in and get Kat's grandbabies, Akira and Elijah, a gift just from Mudcat land? We could stop donating at a fair amount, whatever that would be. Let's call it the A&E Christmas Fund. To donate, PM katlaughing. I think she can accept PayPal but I will let her confirm that in this thread if she wants to. If not, just PM her. I know we folkies ain't rich but you have rich hearts and A&E will certainly be richer for our efforts. I was 8 once, and didn't have much for Christmas, but I did not know any better. Kids nowadays know better! If there are any more ideas on how to contribute please say so. BTW, I do not know any of the people involved and rarely PM folks so I am just trying to help out some. Now, I don't want to make anyone feel BAD or put ANY pressure on you, but if this old Atheist is willing to donate something for Christmas, well, then…(Just Kidding for Christ's..mas sake!) And, I am a classic Scrooge to boot! ______________________________________________________________________ |
Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts, please From: Wesley S Date: 13 Dec 06 - 03:49 PM I hate waiting for medical information. I always want to just get it over with. Yuk. We're all wishing for the best. By the way my niece is going through chemo right now - and from the pictures I've seen bald is beautiful. |

I am doing much better, thanks to you all, and am not worried, just ready for it to be over and to hear the good news. Thanks, again, luvyakat |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts, please From: JennyO Date: 13 Dec 06 - 09:35 AM Kat, sending more warm thoughts and energy from Oz to you and Kirstie. Keep breathing and feel all the loving thoughts coming your way and surrounding you. I hope the cone biopsy results put everyone's fears to rest. |
Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts, please From: Cruiser Date: 13 Dec 06 - 09:24 AM Now I do not know about sending all the vibes, good/positive thoughts, prayers, energy (whatever that is), wishes, etc. but it sounds as if your daughter could use some financial help with ensuring her children have a nice little Christmas and at least take that part of the stress out of her life. Therefore Kat, if you can set up a PayPal account or something easy like that, I will donate at least $10.00 to a Christmas Fund. I am sure there are many other good members here that would be willing to send more along than just good thoughts, like maybe good hard cash. I am not sure how the Mudcat auction funds are received and handled, but that may be other way. I understand some people cannot help financially, but this sounds like a good cause. I do not celebrate Christmas, but I know how much it means to children and the look on those twins' eyes when receiving an unexpected gift would be priceless. The only suggested condition would be a request that you post a photo of them receiving the gifts from Mudcatters in the Member Photo section. I may be shot down on this because I do not know if what I am proposing is allowed on Mudcat. |

Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts, please From: Escamillo Date: 13 Dec 06 - 04:21 AM My best thoughts and wishes for your daughter and family, dear Kat ! Let´s wait until the deep biopsy shows results and hope the best, but never be too confident. Look for second and third opinion and test. Un gran abrazo - Andrés PS: Everything ok here. Yesterday my second grandchild was born, she is a girl and she is the dream of my beloved late wife. Her parents named her Dalia Graciela. |
Subject: RE: BS: Good thoughts, please From: MBSLynne Date: 13 Dec 06 - 03:28 AM My best thought too. I had an abnormal one years ago and had a cone biopsy. They explained that it was just a precaution really as there was no evidence that abnormal cells necessarily developed into anything more sinister. They told me though, that due to scar tissue etc it may make it more difficult if I ever wanted to have children. 21 years and two beautiful, healthy children later, I'm still fine! She will be the same I'm sure Love Lynne |

Subject: BS: Good thoughts, please From: katlaughing Date: 12 Dec 06 - 08:47 PM My daughter back East, Kirstie, has had an abnormal pap, after over 13 years of every six months okay ones, after bad news way back when which surgery took care of. She is having a cone biospy this Thursday morning. She and I would really appreciate the good thoughts of any of you who would care to help out. Some of you may remember helping when she had her twins, eight years ago, prematurely. I know she feels scared. It's a tough Christmas for them, anyway, as she is separated from her husband, living on her own with her boys and neither parent has much to spend this holiday. She knows that is not what is really important, that healthy parents who love them and are not fighting is more important, but the boys are eight and it's hard for them to understand the economics of two households. Thank you, so much. kat |
