Can anyone help with an enquiry i'm looking into on behalf of somebody

It relates to Jim Mclean (I understand he is on here often so if he could provide some information that would be fantastic)

I am looking for any information to the song "smile in your sleep bonny baby" ideally lyrics, but any other information or recordings would be great. This person saw Jim perform this piece in Oban in the 60's. He also mentioned something about the lyrics been put to a piece of music called "aberdeenshire air"? (apologies if this last bit is incorrect, or spelt incorrectly)

can anyone help with this enquiry?

thanks

david

Hi David. There are a few threads about this song, but here's a thread with the lyrics and some comments by Jim about Smile in Your Sleep. (The thread's titled 'RE: Origins: Hush, hush time to be sleeping' after the frequently mistakien song title.

The tune is 'The Mist Covered Mountains of Home'.

I think the question has been answered as the lyrics have already been posted. However, David Cellini, I have never performed in Oban, in fact I don't sing. I am a musician but am honest enough to admit my singing voice is not existant.
