Subject: RE: BS: Congratulations Breezy From: breezy Date: 29 Dec 06 - 07:32 AM Hi again Well am I impressed with me finding this Compared to the real heroines Michaela's achievements are put into perspective here is the text from the Western Morning News 'Later that month, readers celebrated news that Westcountry teacher Ms Breeze won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Australia. Weightlifter Michaela, a PE teacher at Ivybridge Community College, South Devon, fought back from injury to claim the medal. She lifted the equivalent of a 19-stone man [ does George Papavgeris come to mind] to win the title in Melbourne. Ms Breeze qualified to compete for Wales, and it was the first Welsh gold medal of the games. Returning to school, she received a hero's welcome from both teaching colleagues and students. Now she is focused on qualifying for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.' but the others that were mentioned are the real heroes |
