Subject: RE: BS: Alphanumerical quiz From: Wolfgang Date: 09 Jan 07 - 12:31 PM Fun, though some are too difficult for me. The history (or future) dates were easiest. But then I stumbled upon a German Neonazi number, 88 (twice the eigth letter of the alphabet gives the initials of a German salute from 39 to 45) and I immediately "solved" TFLIB as "the Fuehrer lives in Berlin". Now I can't get that solution out of my head. Wolfgang |

Subject: RE: BS: Alphanumerical quiz From: GUEST,Chris Date: 29 Jan 07 - 12:07 PM Hi, We think that the answer to question 21 must be 21C=RGS Twenty One Cannons = Royal Gun Salute and not as has been given in some of the replies. It is much more likely to be this than anything else. Cheers |
Subject: RE: BS: Alphanumerical quiz From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 05 Feb 07 - 12:03 PM The official answers were posted today. Number 18 is indeed as GUEST Chris stated though it seems a clumsy phrase to me. Compiler declared question 62 void as so many people's songbooks had other lengths for the Camptown racetrack! Otherwise as printed,- we didn't win: correct answers went into a hat to pick the winner! RtS |
