Subject: Lyr Req: Triplettes de Belleville Vaudeville Song From: Mrrzy Date: 22 Jan 07 - 12:37 PM If you haven't seen this movie, see it. It is in no actual language - most of the time - but what do the triplets (or their background vocalists) sing in their early days? |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Triplettes de Belleville Vaudeville Song From: GUEST Date: 23 Jan 07 - 07:58 AM Absolutely superb film. I particularly liked the stretch 2CV's the French gangsters drive around in. And in the scene where they are cycling up the mountain in the Tour you can actually feel the pain... |

Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Triplettes de Belleville Vaudeville Song From: Charlie Baum Date: 23 Jan 07 - 09:12 AM I loved the film. Catching all the obscure references and allusions, from Django Reinhardt and Josephine Baker to music concrete and Jacques Tati films, was a hoot. The music, from the theme song to Bach played on bicycle wheel spokes, was a charm. The inventive animation had me enthralled (I still remember the dog's dream sequence). And that theme song! --Charlie Baum |
