Subject: BS: a Tucson snow day From: Desert Dancer Date: 22 Jan 07 - 01:06 PM This link won't last more than a week (or at least won't link to the same image for more than a week, but... U of Arizona webcam. I dropped my son off at school, and fortunately had to return later and discovered the empty parking lot -- he'd walked back home. It's not that the streets weren't plowed ;-) but the nearby bridges over the Rillito get icy. The airport was closed last night. All in all, more wintry than when I visited New England a week ago! ~ Becky in Tucson |

Subject: RE: BS: a Tucson snow day From: Desert Dancer Date: 23 Jan 07 - 01:54 PM here are the snow-on-cactus pictures that perhaps are more impressive than snow on mountains and rooftops. If you have a high-speed connection, the time-lapse pic of yesterday is neat -- watching the snow move back up the mountain. ~ Becky in Tucson |

Subject: RE: BS: a Tucson snow day From: Stilly River Sage Date: 24 Jan 07 - 12:22 AM gorgeous! Thanks! I've seen snow out there, years ago when I worked one winter at Organ Pipe Cactus. But you don't want to blink much or you'll miss it. |
