i was recently reading about an album(cd) that has been recorded by Jesse McReynolds and Robert Whistein to honor their departed singing brothers!
my question is,when did Charles Whitstein passs away!
i know about Jesses' brother Jim, but have not heard about Charles Whitsteins' passing!

Actually, it was Robert who died. Charles recorded with Jesse McReynolds. Robert Whitstein died on November 14, 2001. I have no details.

I agree completely.

On the other hand, in the Don Everly birthday thread, Peter mentioned the Everly Brothers' "Songs Our Daddy Taught Us" recording, because it is them singing traditional songs. I never heard it so I listened to some sound bytes at Amazon.com and I'm going to have to get it...
