Jenny Lynn is also mentioned by him in the lyrics of "Uncle Pen."

Jenny Lynn as played by Big Mon was a fiddle tune he learned from his Uncle Pendleton Vandiver [ Uncle Pen ]

It is not the same tune as the polka Jenny Lind.

I don't know of a "Jenny Lynn" by Bill Monroe. Could it be you're searching for Jenny Lind? "Swedish nightingale" very celebrated, tunes named after her; all the usual stuff.

I've got to rush off so I can't help further. Good luck!
Cheers, Rowan

Checked for "Jenny Lynn" with a number of the Bluegrass lyric sites. Unfortunately there were no signs of that song anywhere.

There's something that's been driving me crazy: years ago I heard a folk song and I don't know the title or the artist. I thought it was "Jenny Lynn" by Bill Monroe, but that doesn't seem to have lyrics. It goes:

"Only God in Heaven knows How much He misses Jenny Lynn"

Can anybody help me out here?
