Lewes Arms Workshop No 78
ED RENNIE
PLAYING FOR DANCE WORKSHOP
(ANY MELODY INSTRUMENT)
Places £20
Saturday 17th. March 2007
10.45 a.m.- 4.45 p.m.
The Lewes Arms
Mount Place, Lewes, East Sussex BN7 1YH

Ed Rennie plays melodeon, sings, and is a thoroughly entertaining chap. For 10 years he has played in the popular English dance band The Bismarks. In 2006 he helped set up the Devon Squeezebox Foundation, to encourage the playing of mainly English traditional music on all forms of squeezeboxes. He's a first-class solo performer of English songs & ballads, adding some material from further afield. Ed is equally at home with melodeon, cittern, guitar or unaccompanied song & his performances have a relaxed air with balance & depth.
The workshop is a very practical, hands-on exploration of the techniques for making people dance. The techniques translate to most forms of ritual & social dance.

Dear Carole,

Many thanks for doing that. Amazingly the only correspondence on that site seems to be about that and not about the subjects it was intended for.

Let me know as soon as possible if you'd like evening tickets for Saturday 24th. March when we have Tom McConville (fiddle) Aaron Jones (guitar, bouzouki) and Claire Mann (whistle, flute) as they are selling fast. It would be great to see you and get a song or two from you both.

Tom, Aaron and Claire are also doing individual all-day instrument workshops and full details are on the Workshops page of the Lewes Arms Folk Club website www.members.aol.com/lewesarmsfolk.

Tootle pip,

Valmai

Oops...my last post to the Greene King forum has vanished again and now I've been excommunicated. I only made polite requests to find out "Where's the Harvey's gone".
