Friday 21 September. Anyone else going?

I'm the bald bloke with the gorgeous woman who's celebrating her birthday.

I'll take this as a "no". ;-)

Looking forward to seeing her if she plays Manchester. The new abum is a good'un, with a surprisingly effective take on Robert Wyatt's sublime 'Sea Song' in amongst the folk. There again I'm a sucker for women's singing voices with a north-eastern English accent...

Cheers

Nigel

Yeah, cheers, I'm looking forward to it a lot. I'll wait 'til then to buy the new CD (assuming they'll have them on sale) so that the artist gets most of the money, rather than Amazon.

Nigel -- she's playing Manchester on 29 Sept., at the Royal Northern College of Music.

More details on her myspace page (these young people.... ;-) )

Went to this last night, & they were great. It's a shame the venue was so f-ing hot though. Me & other ½ left after about an hour because the heat was unbearable.

I've noticed since the smoking ban that pubs & venues are a lot hotter. I reckon they're not bothering with the aircon nowadays.
