All are appreciated more than we express. But for right now, I would like to offer a special Mudcatters' doff of the hat to Q. Take a look at the Fisk Jubilee Singers thread. A minute or so ago there were 129 posts. If I counted correctly, 120 of those posts were from Q, transcribing lyrics and offering other tidbits of information, correction or variations. I"m sure there are more to come. Folks, that is devotion. What an on-line archive! Thanks, Q! |

I know that hard-core scholarship isn't always appreciated by the entire membership, but it is important that people take the time to tease out small details, spell out what they mean, and offer support so others can duplicate the research if they wish.
