15 Aug 99 - 11:22 PM (#105381) Subject: Erthe upon Erthe From: HaHa The lyric sheet to the Mediaeval Babes' "Worldes Blysse" (uh, that's folk music, ain't it?) has the refrain from this middle English poem as: "Memento, homo, quad cinis es, et in cenerem reverentis." Yet, when I listen to the song, it sounds to my ears that the final word might be "reve(r)teris", if that's a word. Anybody know Latin? |

Our local village college (11-16 High School) sings that sort of stuff a darn sight better . . #1] I find that, with some of the 'babes' get-ups, listening with eyes closed is less distracting; reminds me of a former bosses description of an outfit as a "gownless evening strap" . . .
