It would have to work with a standard AC plug or batteries. Two that have been recommended are: Ultrasound AG-15M Acoustic Instrument Combo Amplifier @ $139, and the Peavey Solo Portable PA (CH-D) @ $150. Help, please... |

Make you sound like a million bucks-- better than you actually sound. At our biggest gig, someone came up after and said, "oh I wish I could sing like you...." and I answered right back, "me toooooo...." Cuz I KNOW how much is me-- and how much it's My Crate and Shure. |

The Peavy Solo should work well. It has two inputs, one of which is for a mic. Another amp that might work is the PigNose Hog 30. It's battery driven (two lead acid rechargeable batteries) and will run up to ten hours on a charge. Both inputs are ΒΌ" phone plugs so no XLR input. - Mark |

IMHO...what a street musician gains in range of transmission....is quickly lost via the "noise annoyance factor." Subtle and soft wins many a touched heart more than loud and blaring. I settled on a Roland Mobile Cube, run on six AA batteries (I used rechargeables and carried a spare set). It punched way above its modest weight, has a nice clean sound if you want that but also has lots of settings. Very portable and easy to use. Plenty of volume for a small/medium room. |
