Lyr Req: Folkie alphabet

From: GUEST

I used to know a folk alphabet song which started ' a is for as I roved out, its how most songs begin, b is for brave boys, the bit the audience joins in'. Can any one help with c-z, though I do remember some. Particularly Q and R.

A is for Aran the sweater I wear
B is for ballad to sing if you dare,
C's for the chorus, we all go to town,
And D is for derry and also for down.

Merrily, cheerily, so merry are we,
No mortals on earth in such great harmony,
Sing away, play away, with every good song,
Give a folkie some ale and there's nothing go wrong.

Over to you.....

Alternative chorus

Merrily merrily, chorus and beer,
What better reasons for us to be here?

E is for early all in the spring,
F is for folk club, somewhere to sing,
G is for Greensleeves played on a G-string
And H is for harmony we're all singing in.

X this song's rated, due to its content
Y for the young maiden left to lament
Z for the zebra, who's not in this song
And now this song's ended, I'll wish you "so long"
