I didn't know such things happened until I followed one of the links. Warning. Do to try the search in public! Another word bites the dust. I wonder what happens when an innocent girl guide wants a video on pegging out her tent? :-) |

The girls' phys. ed. teacher came into the staff room looking pale and shaken, and dropped into a big chair. She stared blankly for a moment, then said: "I just did an internet search for 'cheerleader uniforms' ... " ...... |

I referred to a male trio I had heard in the 1940s, but couldn't identify. A Welsh speaker in the audience handed me a note at the end, which said that the group I described was Triawd y Coleg. I googled them and got a few hits, including a photo. Thinking that maybe Google wasn't very strong in Welsh, I tried the English translation she helpfully provided. I can tell you now that 'The College Threesome' doesn't come up with any music-related hits! One member of the trio was Meredydd Evans who became one of the leading authorities on Welsh folk music. |
