Tommy Makem & Liam Clancy sing it on "We've Come a Long Way" (1989). It's also on "Yes...Those Were the Days: The Essential Liam Clancy" (2007). The Dady Brothers sing it on "Irish Folk Fest" (2008). Kate & Anna McGarrigle recorded it under the title COME A LONG WAY on their albums "Dancer with Bruised Knees" and "Tell My Sister". Lyrics are on their web site here. Loudon Wainwright III sang it (as COME A LONG WAY) on "Attempted Mustache" and "Dead Skunk: The Complete Columbia Collection." Lyrics have also been posted in the thread called Lyr Req: Songs about hands!. |
