05 Jan 04 - 08:05 AM (#1086321) Subject: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: GUEST,MC Fat Just to let you all know I'm 50 this year and in the tradition of the Queen I am to have a number of celebrations. Having already celebrated my 49 3/4's in November, I will now be celebrating at Fagans (Sheffield) on Sunday afternoon February 22nd with music and eatable galore !! My proper birfday is Tuesday 24th but I have been 'persuaded' by the Lady Aefleda and others to have an 'official' birfday bash in Whitby 28th and 29th Feb working on the premise that folks can find accomodation betterer in Whitby rather than Sheffield. All are heartily invited to the tap & Spile for much merriment. |
05 Jan 04 - 11:11 AM (#1086429) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: Beardy Will we be booking same cottage as New Year? For night of 28th onwards? If booking for Friday 27 prices are extra 50%, ie £380 rather than £260. Give me a ring to discuss. Stewart |

05 Jan 04 - 06:15 PM (#1086659) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: Beardy Further to earlier post those were the weekly rates to be adjusted for weekend but there is still a large discrepancy. |
06 Jan 04 - 04:55 AM (#1086917) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: Dave Bryant Do holograms actually celebrate birthdays then ? If they did, I would expect the aniversaries to be based on perfect binary numbers. Hope you have a good time time Jim - perhaps you'll have to try and make it down south to my BBQ in June, when I shall be celebrating qualifying for a bus pass ! |

Thus we look forward to joining in the festivities in the Equine Niger or perhaps Butlers Brasserie and Beer Boutique |

07 Jan 04 - 06:32 AM (#1087777) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: Raggytash James dear boy, I fear we are missing a glorious opportunity, we need to follow Lloyd George on this occasion and sell the honours ! 09 Jan 04 - 09:59 AM (#1089388) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: The DeanMeister Can I come? I promise to be a good boy.... On the other hand I might invent an unlikely story involving missed taxi's and cancelled trains to explain my absence from the event. |
09 Jan 04 - 02:45 PM (#1089583) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: GUEST,Lady Aelfleda Great idea to have an Honours List - do they have to earn it (eg: services as Whitby landladies (not those kinds of services); longstanding services to folk music (no - too boring); worst singer of the weekend; best present for Jim; who can drink the most brandy - the list could be endless really couldn't it? |
12 Jan 04 - 06:18 AM (#1090962) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: GUEST,MC Fat Sorry have been absent, been a poorly boy. 12 Jan 04 - 12:46 PM (#1091223) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: Dave Bryant It's OK Raggy - I'm only kidding - we southerners can't let you northerners have things all your own way. :-) After all, I'm rude to McFat on a matter of principle (we older gits have to stick together) and if you're going to support him to the extent of a brown tongue - a bit more Sh*t in your direction isn't going to make much difference ! |

26 Feb 04 - 06:50 AM (#1124204) Subject: RE: MC Fat 'Official' 50 Birfday From: Folkiedave There are those who are looking forward to the snow being snowed in.
