Chord Req: Little Donkey

Does anyone have the chords for this tune? I can get most of it, but there seem to be some jazzy chords and passing chords I can't work out. Many thanks!
Tim

Do you mean the song by Chuck Berry from the late 50's?

Sadly, no; I mean the dreadful Christmas song by Nina and Frederik from the 60's. My dear wife wants to sing it with her Brownie Guides at an old folks home next week. Not sure what the old folks have done to deserve it, but any help appreciated.

Tim, can you give us at least a bit of what you know of the song? That will help us tie it down.

I think we used to do it with only 3 chords (in the key of your choice) but I can't remember the words....
(D)Little donkey, (G)little donkey,
(D)With your....dummm, dum, (A7)dummmm,
(D)Dum, da, dummm, dum, (G)dum, da, dummm, dum,
(A7)Dum, da, dummm, dum,
(D)Dummm!

Damn!

I've misplaced my Nina and Frederik LP (I probably gave it away in the late 60s) but I'd like to find the full set of words for their 'Mr Noah'. I think it was on the same LP.

Little G donkey, little C donkey,
On the G dusty D7 road.
G Got to keep on C plodding onwards,
D7 With your precious G load.

Been a long time, little donkey,
Through the winter's night.
Don't give up now, little donkey,
Bethlehem's in sight

Em Ring out those D bells tonight
Em Bethle D hem, Em Bethle D hem.
Em Follow that D star tonight,
Em Bethle D hem, Em Bethle D-D7 hem.

Little donkey, little donkey,
Had a heavy day.
Little donkey, carry Mary safely on her way.

Little donkey, little donkey,
On the dusty road.
There are wise men waiting for a
Sign to bring them here.

Do not falter, little donkey,
There's a star ahead.
It will guide you, little donkey,
To a cattle shed.

Thanks to everyone who replied; I was hearing more complicated things that weren't actually there! Now; for God's sake let this thread die a peaceful death!

Hi I am Suzy from Sri Lanka, I grew up listening to Nina and Frederic's LP. I still remember how beautifully their voices blended. It really made Christmas more meaningful to me. Hope you all have a blessed Christmas and may Jesus be born in your hearts.
