Tune Req: Moorman poems

Subject: Tune Req: Moorman poems
From: R. Padgett

I have been asked if I know if any of Moorman's poems (Yorkshire) have been put to tunes **

I believe 'Dalesman's Litany' was originally a Moorman poem, anyone know of any others?

See Songs of the Ridings by F. W. Moorman (texts only) and Yorkshire Dialect Poems (1673-1915) and Traditional Poems Compiled with an Historical Introduction by F. W. Moorman.

Also previous threads:

Cheers Masato!

Lyrics will come in handy (although I think we had them)

Dalesman's Litany already well documented with input from me ~ Dave Keddie Tune etc noted

Really need to home in on any other Tunes which may have been used as a vehicle to convey Moorman's poems

Thanks for post
