These include Ralph McTell singing Michelle, June Tabor with In My Life and Waterson Carthy's version of Norwegian Wood. Must be worth a listen. |

Chris was telling me about it a few weeks ago, and this is one thing I definitely won't miss tonight! PS...Both progs will be on the BBC site "Listen again" facility for the next week. Well actually most of it wasn't that good - utter tripe more like. Spent most of the hour trying to learn MaDe Schottische so it wasn't a complete waste of time. Some of it (Dillon/While/Hewardine & Reader/and - sad to say - W:C) was cringingly awful. Tams/Tabor/S&B were best, though I really wish I hadn't bothered. The recording quality sounded muffled and SoH seemed considerably out-of-tune at points. OTOH, as Guest above remarks, the LJ broadcast later was stunningly good. |
