I had a friend who served in Desert Storm, who told me that he and his army buddies made prune juice into brandy. Nobody seemed to mind. In college, I had to tell my friends that Muslims didn't drink alcohol. I had a hard time convincing them, since most of the Muslims at Ohio University did, and did it a lot. The Saudi Government could have saved themselves a boatload of trouble if they'd just deported the old guy, quickly and quietly.
