Some years ago, the husband of a co-worker of mine was going back to Cuba to visit family. His suitcase was extremely heavy. He showed his wife what was in it: nothing but bars of Dial soap, which would be valuable in Cuba. He explained that every family got one bar of poor-quality soap a month. And you try to tell me that people had good health care? and education? In a country that did not provide soap?
