A common office party gag gift a few years back was a small, leafless twig with a tiny red ribbon tied to a branch and holding a spent .22 shell. When asked what it represented the inquirer was told it was one of the first gifts of the Twelve Days of Christmas - a "cartridge in a bare tree".
