bbc, I have to disagree with you when you say: I would like us to be a little more discriminating to keep serious serious & bs bs, though. Sometimes we miss info we'd like to see, because the threads become so mixed.

That mixing of the threads is part of what makes Mudcat so magically special for me. We're not members of some senate investigations committee (are we?), who need to get serious responses to our research queries without getting sidetracked with a heaping helping of friendliness. I like to think that we're more like a living room full of best friends, shooting the breeze, making music, and oh yes, asking each other lots of questions about things that interest us and the music we love.
