How kinky do I seem when I say that lesbians trapped in men's bodies sound like a lot of fun to me! LOL! Not to mention that wazoo and zoowah stuff, Chanteyranger (is that a bee-bop chorus? I bet I can pick it up pretty quick!) Y'all are the blast of fun! Sooooo much laughter....I just love it. Audi |

On the other hand, you'll be getting PM's up the wazoo and out the zoowah from your growing harem of male admirers. :-) -chanteyranger |

Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: GUEST,Audi Date: 31 Dec 00 - 07:32 PM Bernard, I was afraid to ask the 'reasons best not discussed here'. I have been in the same boat with an different oar. "Extremely frustrating" is an understatement. No other word comes to mind except a catch-all profanity. My sympathies. Audi |

Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Matt_R Date: 31 Dec 00 - 06:11 PM Well, I know of 2 'Catters who are of the lesbian persuasion, but neither of them have visited in several months. But who knows, they may be still lurking. Typo my foot!! Wow, I'm honored...I find it a bit unusual that my idiotic posts would inspire ANYONE to post. And I have to be depressed. Feeling happy right now would probably make me sicker than I already feel. And no music can help it, I don't feel like singing either. Only one song I play...over and over again. And over and over until this dark night of the soul gives way to the golden sunrise of the future. --M |

Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Bernard Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:52 PM Erm, hello! I've been 'unhooked' for raaather a long time - not so much 'on the shelf', more 'right at the back of the cupboard'...!! Okay, I had a 'fling' about two years ago, but when it went wrong it damn near killed me... I've two children - daughter (with a 'bump') aged 23, and son aged 19, but my missus left about 14 years ago for reasons best not discussed here... So at 52 I'm unhooked, unhinged, and un-everything!! I did discover, however, that I'm not overweight after all. I'm just not tall enough! |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: GUEST,Audi Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:51 PM DARN TYPO!!! I mean, of course, I LIKE you for it, Matt. ;) Audi |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: kendall Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:51 PM I cant comment on how many here are of the Lesbian persuation, but, I can say that we are mostly liberal. |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: GUEST,Audi Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:50 PM I wasn't insulted, Matt!! I laughed--I'm about 10 lbs overweight and it's my biggest ass-et--LOL!!! Don't go off and be depressed--you were the first to seduce me into posting here at Mudcat, and I lick you for it!!! Audi |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: blt Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:48 PM Well, this feels like a big risk, but I'm wondering if anyone else out there--statistically, it should be at least one out of ten--is, like myself, of the lesbian persuasian, indeed, more than persuaded, or is this a primarily heterosexual land? |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Matt_R Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:45 PM Sorry if that was insulting to anyone's weight...I was just playing off the fact that I am severely underweight. Never mind. I need to go off and be depressed more. Later. |

Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Peg Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:18 PM Naemanson...hmm, which of those were you referring to? the sane part? ;) peg |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Matt_R Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:16 PM AUDI!!!! You are BAD!!!! Wanna know something? I weight less than you and I'm 2 inches taller! Scary...I must be a beanpole!! |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: kendall Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:14 PM SINSULL, here. Worse than that,Matt, we occasionally share a cookie. For those who are thoroughly confused - I am female, not male; I have no ongoing vendetta against the NRA; And as much as I love Peg's singing, she is neither my type nor too young for me. For the "Personals", I am single ( a chronic condition) with a son (25 and on his own - almost). Brown hair, brown eyes, large breasts. 53 going on 14. Over educated (MA in Classical Languages), underpayed (selling networking hardware), have travelled the world and always ended up in NYC though despite Midchuck's anti-NY comments I am neither a bad person nor a mass murderer. Orson Welles is my idea of sexy so all of you bemoaning your portly demeanor, come visit the Big Apple and be appreciated. I bake but hate to cook making the culinary Kendall the ideal host. He cooks; I clean. Now if Matt were only thirty years older and 50 pounds heavier... |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Peg Date: 31 Dec 00 - 05:12 PM kendall; thanks for clearing that up...I was confused for a minute! you do such a lovely rendition of that song, it haunts me still... so young? hmm, I guess it is all relative! I feel comparatively "old" some days but usually am very thankful to be just the age I am...and still somewhat easy on the eyes to judge by these superlatives you gentlemen are using (blushing again) Never met a nicer group of fellows than those guys at the Mudcat gathering in NH... |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: wildlone Date: 31 Dec 00 - 04:59 PM Dave, hooked once now I live with my dear white haired mother, with my little dog,my music and a motorcycle I can now get all the big boys toys. |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: GUEST,Audi Date: 31 Dec 00 - 04:52 PM LOL! Naemanson, no, you didn't frighten me off--I'm just enjoying the other posts. I do make a good audience, because I love to watch. I didn't intend for this thread to be about me, and I am once-burned/twice-shy about advertising myself on the Internet. I will tell you that I am most assuredly female (hang on a sec.....yep, I just checked, and I still am)--and I love to flirt, but do I need to say that making real commitments is not my strength? Obviously I haven't commited to Mudcat, yet, either. (But thanks to everyone for your warm words--I'm not at all surprised to be asked to join up--you all are wonderful.) I didn't mean to whine last night about my voice--one of my New Year's Gifts to myself is to buy some voice lessons. I'm old enough to know that attitude is 99% of the answer, and I hope that with some instruction, I'll buy some confidence. Then, perhaps, I'll feel equal to calling myself a Mudcattywoman--but it's a title I can't use lightly. Again I say you all are out of my league. Now some facts for inquiring minds: I'm 5'6", 136 lbs, long bushy red hair, very adult but act very childlike very often, am not at all agist, my left breast is bigger (thanks so much for asking), unfortunately neither are big enough to drape over my guitar--my sister that got all the singing talent also got my share of those--LOL--and drapes them well--LOL--so I guess I'm a squisher! My favorite book is any one that I am reading at the time--I love books--for Christmas I bought myself "The Oxford Book of Humorous Prose" by Frank Muir and "Daughter of Fortune" by Isabel Allende (haven't started it yet). My favorite movie is "White Christmas", or it was last week--it changes constantly, too. My favorite song is too hard to pinpoint--I love so many--from the hilarious/bawdy to the skin-crawling/stomach-lifters. I find that it's not just the song that does it for me, but the combination of the song and the voice that usually blows me away. My favorite thing to do in all the world (even over music) is to laugh. Laughing is everything, to me, and so little time is truly devoted to it these days. It's the other reason I've enjoyed lurking at Mudcat. Otherwise, my only other memorable qualities are: 1. I don't have very good judgment at times (and so find it's often better for me to remain silent and be thought a fool than to post and remove all doubt (sorry, Oscar)) and, 2. as a result of my poor judgment and ready sense of humor, I tend to be a tad outrageous. LOL! And now, I've probably said too much. Oh, and DougR, I was going to scan my pussy for you--LOL--she's not hardly hairy at all--but decided that might not be the best judgment. (And, the SPCA might get me for it.) LOL! If you like, I'll scan my bushy hair? LOL! Audi |

Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: JWR Date: 31 Dec 00 - 03:52 PM Thom M: I have never figured out a very good plan for "catch and release"; tend to get mangled in the process. |

Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Ribbit Date: 31 Dec 00 - 02:15 PM Getting "hooked" isn't so bad, it's the catch and release plan that seems to cause the pain. Thom |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Naemanson Date: 31 Dec 00 - 02:11 PM Well, having met Peg and sat next to her at Barry's party I can second the opinions expressed by chantyranger. It a shame since she never seems "...to meet anyone interesting, available, attractive and sane..." that I'm either not in her area or... *BG* I seem to have frightened off Ms. Audi. If so, I apologize. Still Unhooked |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: SINSULL Date: 31 Dec 00 - 02:11 PM Thanks a lot Rick! I too can vouch for Peg. She sings beautifully, and, is a knock out to boot! Besides, she liked my rendition of Lonesome Robin. But, alas, she is so young... |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: JWR Date: 31 Dec 00 - 01:50 PM I can't tell from the converstation if there is a preferred state: "hooked" or "unhooked." However, hooked does sound painful. Perhaps its the choice of terms? |

Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Gervase Date: 31 Dec 00 - 01:27 PM Unhinged? yes; Unhooked? Unlikely, given the number of marriages/relationships and SOs crammed into a mere 41 years - resulting in a son and a daughter (both wonderful people, if taking a little too much after their father); Into singing, beer, fowling, fishing and food; Prey to one cat rescued from a icy London gutter a year ago this week; Not remotely professional in most of my doings - and certainly not musically... Inordinately fond of this place and its people - some of whom are just as deranged in the flesh! |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Peg Date: 31 Dec 00 - 01:20 PM ah thanks Chanteyranger! (blush) you are also a wonderful gent and nice looking fella and great musician and I hope the west coast gals take a hint... peg |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Peter Kasin Date: 31 Dec 00 - 01:17 PM After having met Peg very at a singers circle in Boston, I can vouch that she is quite the attractive woman, and I do not doubt that she is as interesting a person as her personal profile here reveals. You East Coast guys have got a gem waiting for you. -chanteyranger (who is, alas, on the West Coast) |
Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Peg Date: 31 Dec 00 - 12:19 PM oh okay since it has turned into a personals thread... Peg female 37 Boston area singer employed as a teacher (film studies), freelance writer and, until recently, administrative assistant. Just got laid off (merry f'ing Christmas) and looking forward to receiving full salary for five months while I do more writing and singing than I have previously had time for...but in May I will need to get a new job! green eyes, long brown/auburn hair, rosy Irish-Italian coloring, very straight teeth cat-owner (6) pagan/witch/nature lover healthy and trying harder every day to be so lover of good food, good wine, good beer, good single malt Scotch and good mead bibilophile never married, no kids hobbies include calligraphy, cooking, travelling, gardening, herbalism and aromatherapy great kisser never seem to meet anyone interesting, available, attractive and sane in my area. (Though have okay luck in England) Maybe I should lower my standards? or move? naah...

Subject: RE: BS: UnHooked Mudcatters, Post Here! From: Ribbit Date: 31 Dec 00 - 11:22 AM Audi, Not all of us here are professionals. We are brought together by a love of music. I too was hesitant to join but since doing so I have been made to feel welcome and finally got to meet fellow 'Catters at the sing in Portland last week. I sing because it makes me feel good. I suppose that's the reason we all do. I tip my hat to those who can make a living doing what they love. I myself am a coward but as the song goes "All God's creatures got a place in the choir."
