I'm Back!

I re-read my last post and want to make sure that folks know that I was pleased that heric started The Game up again.

I hope that newcomers to Mudcat and veteran Mudcatters as well will read this thread and the previous one to learn more about the people who make up the Mudcat community.

And if people feel like posting to this thread, great! If not, then what is here will be archived for future Mudcatters to read.

[I feel like singing the Sesame Street song "Who Are The People In Your Neighborhood?" But I bet somebody could think of a more folkie theme song for this thread].

Share! Learn! Enjoy!!!!

Positive vibrations,

Azizi

Thanks Alice and Spaw for remembering me so affectionately. Yes, this is the land of tango and romance, I hope Buenos Aires will some day be your target for vacation ! It is inexpensive and first-class, two things that usually can´t be found together. Let´s share a glass of wine and a monstrous steak

With love
Andrés (in Buenos Aires)

Greetings, Mudcatters, one and all.

I'm just popping in from the once but no longer smokey city to see how all is faring in the BS world below.

Since I launched this Mudcat game so many months ago much has happened in the land of Mudville. And for reasons known and guessed at, I have decided to limit my voyages to the threads down under to once in a every blue moon when something strikes my fancy or tugs my strings or gets my goat.

While I was lurking in the downthreads, I noticed on 04 Feb 07 - 02:51 PM that heric-for reasons only he knows- had refreshed this thread, thus reactivating The Game. I'm glad to know that folks may still be interested in playing This Game, but, in case anyone was wondering,I feel the need to inform you that I have stepped away from my editor's chair, never to sit there again.

If heric or someone else wants to edit the "Name That Mudcatter: Guide For The Perplexed", Seventh Edition, I shall be very happy to see that effort continue.

If no one wants to edit any new Editions then so be it. I suppose it is possible for this thread to do what ever it wants to do without any supervision at all. It might be chaotic, but it also might turn out to be quite an interesting experiment. Perhaps no one will be perplexed, or perhaps perplexion will be thought of as a good thing.

Be that as it may or may not be, my Name That Mudcatter days are over. It was fun. I enjoyed it. I learned a lot of interesting facts about people I have come to know by more than name only.

But I'm in serious mode right now. Perhaps in time, I'll be less serious. I certainly hope so.

So until that time,

Best wishes to all, and to all a good night!

[Who said that? ....Ignore that question].

Azizi

That question is paradoxical, as soon as it is answered, it becomes untrue.

Unless I just say "me" instead of letting someone else give my name.

Re 183:Spatulas, Rutabaga and the point of Moab.

People somewhere in the Moab Continium were responsible for both the Spatuals and Rutabaga round here. BWL for the spatulas sounds right. I think the root vegtables may have been my fault, but I'm not sure. If anyone needs to know, start looking in Moab at about 6000, I think that's Febuary 2005ish.

As to the point of Moab, (King) Khandu set it out in the first post of the thread, to accumulate all the BS in one place, to free up the rest of the cat from it....

Thank you, Redsnapper! I appreciate that information.

So who's going to provide the correct answer to this question?

****

It occurs to me that I need to practice what I preach.

I made a comment that some questions might be 'perplexing' to folks because of those quetions [and those folks] cultural referent/reference. But after writing that comment, I posted what I thought at the time was a witty response to another poster. But it occurs to me that some people who don't live in the USA might not understand this reference. And others might think I was poking fun in a negative way or otherwise disrespecting that poster.

For those who didn't understand the referent, here's some clues:

Baby Name Meanings

For anyone who may have thought that I was dissing [disrespecting] that poster, that is absolutely not what I was doing.

I'm very sorry if anyone took it that way.
