Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: AllisonA(Animaterra) Date: 15 Aug 08 - 07:57 AM Waaaahhhh- I missed the whole thing! And I have a gig the weekend of the Getaway! Micca, I hope you get yourself back up North after that weekend, so's I can clap my eyes on you. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: KT Date: 15 Aug 08 - 01:04 AM Aw, Chance I am sorely tempted!! Such fond memories of past visits.....great music, great friends, Shakespeare in the parking lot...sigh.... KT |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: Fortunato Date: 14 Aug 08 - 05:20 PM Well, I hope you all know you've spoiled my friend utterly. He thinks he's the very center of the universe, now. I spoke to him on the phone last night and it's clear he's been Prince Micca for 22,000 miles or so. I don't know if we can stand him again at the Getaway, but I'm picking him up at Dulles on 10/2 so we'll see. KT and Ebbie when are you coming to see me? regards, chance |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: katlaughing Date: 14 Aug 08 - 01:07 PM Oh, no really, they're just a small thing...don't trouble yerselves...**RBG*** T'anks, gals! |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: Becca72 Date: 14 Aug 08 - 12:03 PM I looked at them, Kat! :-) The kitty looks very comfortable and what an honor for Micca! |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 14 Aug 08 - 12:02 PM AWWWWWW. Both fuzzy and cute. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: katlaughing Date: 14 Aug 08 - 11:54 AM Offer it as a premium?**bg** Did nobody look at the two pix I posted a link to? Am I being ignored here?***BSEG*** |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 14 Aug 08 - 08:47 AM OK, kat. I took eight cups of mildly moldy lemon rice to work. Now what do I do with it? NOTE: It has been sitting out since last Tuesday. Saki, maybe? Micca - you will be pleased with your bear. It is simple, tasteful and totally out of character for a gift from me. Synchronized Floor Routines? How do they get again...gracefully? I think we should have a workshop on synchronized swimming in air at the getaway. Maybe act out a water ballet of The Cruel Mother? |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: Roger the Skiffler Date: 14 Aug 08 - 05:57 AM Any more pix to come? Rts |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: Ebbie Date: 14 Aug 08 - 02:50 AM Oh darn! Sorry I missed the show. The talent in this town amazes me. lol |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: KT Date: 13 Aug 08 - 10:20 PM Micca, you should have been here last night. The Bevel Olympic team was practicing two new routines - synchronized diving and synchronized floor routines. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: Micca Date: 13 Aug 08 - 10:19 PM yeah, but to parahrase a US Immigration question from way back (McCarthy era?) " Was it, or has it ever been, a Pink Bear"????? |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 13 Aug 08 - 09:34 PM No. It is a brownish black bear. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: Micca Date: 13 Aug 08 - 03:04 PM Hey sINS, This bear...........It is NOT PINK????? I hope, (after all I have a purple octopus called Petulia already) |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: katlaughing Date: 13 Aug 08 - 02:27 PM Take it to work! (I thought my pix might've killed the thread!) |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 13 Aug 08 - 12:26 PM Killed another thread, did I? The birds and the bear are safely tucked away in Jacqui's luggage and will be winging their way across the ocean to you very soon, Micca. SINS, still trying to figure out what to do with eight cups of lemon rice. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 12 Aug 08 - 12:52 PM Came across a bear in South Portland this weekend - who'd a' believed it? Picked it up for Micca. $.50. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: Ebbie Date: 12 Aug 08 - 11:50 AM Micca, I ran into Arnie Weimer - that artist who sketched you - on the street and I told him you had bought that print of his, and that we both really liked his paintings. He was very pleased, and actually blushed. As to bears, on this morning's walk my Meggie went into full warning mode because there is a new, very large, fake bear on the veranda of a shop. I finally had to pick her up and take her to the bear to show her that it wasn't real. She gave one final growling, muttering mfff! and lost interest in it. She's had enough run-ins with the real thing. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: katlaughing Date: 11 Aug 08 - 04:17 PM I've posted a picture of my Trystan sprawled across Micca...the cat is asleep, Micca played possum for the picture AND one of Micca and me at myopera album HERE. That cat usually only sleeps on ME, so this was quite an honour for Micca! |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 11 Aug 08 - 04:16 PM So I have been re-gifted or de-gifted. Either is equally offensive. LOL I will tak egood care of the little beasties. They will join my blue jay and galar in the boat with the owl and the pussycat. Bet you never noticed them. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: GUEST,KT Date: 10 Aug 08 - 04:38 PM Oh dear, Micca, I'm afraid you've left yourself wide open, now. KT |

Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 10 Aug 08 - 02:17 PM Apparently war has been declared. One loon and one raven tucked in the cushions in the living room. Larry Lobsters at 20 paces, Micca., You have been warned. Funny - I thought he would remember how we "got" Mick at the Getaway a few years back... |

Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 08 Aug 08 - 08:37 PM The wanderer called tonight. He is home and very tired. The little kitty is very glad to have him home. Desert Road is washed out up north; Saco River is rising south of here. Micca - the natives are restless and blaming you. |
Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: ranger1 Date: 08 Aug 08 - 08:14 PM Well, you forgot to pack up the bloody rain and take it home with you! We had flooding this morning and now I have to detour around Freeport, which adds an extra 15 minutes to my commute, for the next two to three weeks because Desert Road washed out. |

Subject: RE: BS: Miccas Great Adventure From: SINSULL Date: 07 Aug 08 - 09:50 AM Micca, You will leave a big empty hole in the house. But I will enjoy getting back to what passes for "normal" at my place. Alice misses you already - did she manage to pee on anything of yours or just confine herself to unsuspecting first timers? You will back in a matter of weeks so rest up and we will do it again. Any chance of being around for Gordon's house concert or John's? I might be persuaded to open that special bottle... Safe trip, Love. Mary |
