Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: maeve Date: 16 Dec 07 - 11:48 AM Jeri- Helpful, funny, and caring all in one swell foop! Kendall- There's a pie on the horizon. You can't see it right now, either, but it's there. I have clearing-out-things on my visible horizon, but I know by experience and faith that I have friends there, too. What J. of Norwich said... maeve |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Jeri Date: 16 Dec 07 - 09:45 AM Ask the Dr about CoQ10>! As to the throat, the antibiotics build up to a certain concentration in the blood, which remains level if you take the antibiotics on schedule. They take a while to kill the bacteria, so they may not be finished working. Lots of other possibilities, but ask the doc. Kendall, there IS a horizon. The world is always turning toward the morning, and all that. You just can't SEE the horizon. I can't see the horizon, but I have faith that it's out there somewhere, I BELIEVE there IS a horizon, and... I JUST SAW IT - I SAW THE HORIZON!!! OK, it's gone again. I warned you about french kissing the dog. Much love - Jeri |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: kendall Date: 16 Dec 07 - 09:04 AM Maeve, there is no horizon. Thanks for asking. Doug, I'm not supposed to drink alcohol while I'm on the meds. It is still a good thought, and much evidence that it works. Deb, I will be there if I can get out. I have to wait for my grandson to come and clear the driveway. I have orders from "She who must be obeyed" to not touch a shovel or snowblower. I have an appointment with my doctor tomorrow, and I hope he has an answer to, How come my anti biotics have run out and I still have a sore throat? |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: TRUBRIT Date: 15 Dec 07 - 11:19 PM Kendall -- don't forget -- dinner chez nous tomorrow night - around 6 -- ok to bring Seamus.... |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: SINSULL Date: 15 Dec 07 - 09:48 PM I picked up Seamus last night and entertained him with the kitties. We slept in and went to the frigid beach for an hour. Afterwards I delivered him back to Kendall in preparation for tomorrow's storm. The Captain went off to the grocery store on his own just to get out of the house for a little while. A good sign. Batten down the hatches all. tomorrow will be cold, wet, and generally crappy. Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: DougR Date: 15 Dec 07 - 04:58 PM Kendall: Seems you are going to be okay and that's good news indeed. Drink a couple of glasses of red wine a day and it will surely help your condition. It's certainly helped mine. I have about 80% blockage of an artery coming out of my heart and it has been so since 1993. As with you, evidently a voluntary by-pass has occurred and that's a blessing. Take care, DougR |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Becca72 Date: 14 Dec 07 - 10:59 AM LOL...thank you, Maeve. I'm still trying to erase Rapaire's vision from my mind's eye. Bleck. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: maeve Date: 14 Dec 07 - 09:28 AM What have you been eating, Rapaire? That's some "vision"! As long as the Captain gains some healing laughter out of the nonsense, he'll have had the only enhancement needed. I'll not get in the way of good natured humor! Just be gentle with Becca's sensitivities, eh? I'm hoping to meet her one of these days! maeve |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Rapparee Date: 14 Dec 07 - 09:21 AM Hey! I wasn't knocking the PU. I just had this vision of Kendall mincing around the rock-bound coast of Maine in crushed velvet tights and a well-rounded codpiece, waving his lace hanky at Seamus, LLBean boots, heavy woolen sweater, and oilskins all a-streamin'. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: maeve Date: 14 Dec 07 - 09:11 AM 'Morning, Kendall. I'm ignoring all this tasteless blather about body-enhancement products whilst enjoying the thought of you chortling about such nonsense. I'm delighted with your good news and looking forward to gnu's gnood gnews appearing soon. maeve |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: catspaw49 Date: 13 Dec 07 - 02:56 PM Actually kat, Bill D. had The Spud last. I had annamil present it to Big Mick at a Getaway and he left it behind instead of in it. Anyway, Bill took it home and offered to send it to Mick but Mick declined saying he'd pick it up himself "sometime." Last I heard it had shriveled up and sent out long tentacle like roots but it was too late. Lacking proper soil and water "The Original Spud" passed into garbage history. The actual use of The Original Spud was as stuffer for Mick to enhance the codpiece of his thong. Sadly he put it in the back which did no good and frankly made it look as though he had crapped himself. I do have a thought though.....................Why not supply Kendall with a complete set? Two for the back, one for the front, and he'll be stylin' and profilin'......with the emphasis on profile. They would certainly make a nice, uh, stocking stuffer for Christmas. Spaw |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: katlaughing Date: 13 Dec 07 - 02:36 PM For a proper bulge in the back, Sins, all he needs is the Spud...Mick had it last I knew.:-0 |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: kendall Date: 13 Dec 07 - 12:20 PM I don't have much beyond what Becca posted. No stent is the verdict for now, and if that works we will be able to stop the meds completley. It seems my heart is busy making its own detours around the blockage. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Dave'sWife Date: 13 Dec 07 - 11:49 AM Kendall willbe in my prayers every day, several times a day! In Reb of 1994, I was afflicted with something very similar and I can assure you it's very serious. I wasn't feeling very well when I woke up that day but I had to go to Jack Kirby's funeral (one of the holy trinity of Comic Book Artists, the other 2 being Gil Kane and Will Eisner) on Julie Schwartz' behalf since he was snowed in back in New York. As the day progressed I started feeling worse but I went to the funeral anyway and just kept popping excedrin for the fever. By the time the funeral was over, I could barely stand up. I wanted to go to the graveside service but Gil made me promise to go home so I did. I collapsed on the couch and when I woke up a few hours later, I couldn't swallow at all. I went to the ER and they said it was an aggressive strep. Eventually, it progressed to Scarlet Fever. That was a really dark time in my life. I had just left a long-term relationship and the break-up was explosive. Dealing with that while being so terribly sick was beyond weird. Lucikly, I had a few sweet people who would come by to feed me and help me shower. A magazine editor I wrote for lived a few blocks from my new apartment and he took it upon himself to see to my recovery in a totally platonic way. It's amazing how some people you are friendly with but not close to can step up to the plate and assume all kinds of responsibilities when you have nobody else nearby. This fellow, Mike, he took care of me like a big brother for close to a year. He even re-introduced me to the man who would become my husband. Mike was my regular Friday night date nd he'd always take me to this club that he and some other film enthusiasts would rent to show classic cult horror & Sci Fi films. He'd get me to rubn the projector, take tickets, sell brownies, whatever. The week my fture husband came by was a special Coffin Joe Weekend with Coffin joe himself visiting from brazil. Enough about that. Strep Throats can lead to terrible things as evidence in this thread. I will be praying for Kendall's complete recovery. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Amos Date: 13 Dec 07 - 11:25 AM Good news, there, Becca!! LIsten, if riding someone's ass is good enough for Jesus Christ it's good enough for me. So I choose to ride Kendall's. I hope you understand. ;>0 Meanwhile, Kat has pointed to a link showing a revolutionary product called Buns For You. Here's what some folks say about it: " "Your padded boxers are nothing short of miraculous! After trying one pair, I can never go back to regular underwear again. I have just turned 50 years old and I have buns for the first time in my life!" J.A. Houston, TX "I have been using your product for three years, and I just placed another order with you. I just want you to know that your product gives me confidence that I wouldn't have without them. I have been the target of jokes and comments since high school, but no more. Thank you again for your product." Scott, Palm Coast, FL "I love your product I have more self esteem and I look great in every type of jeans, pants, shorts......well everything. I am sooooooo happy in ordering more. Thanks." J.H. Turlock, CA " SO there ya go, SKippah. If these men can live exciting revitalized lives with padded undies, why not you? A |

Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Becca72 Date: 13 Dec 07 - 11:03 AM The email I got from him this morning post-Cardiology visit was good news. No stent at this time and they are going to taper off the meds...but I'll let him tell the whole story when he gets here. Becca, pretending not to see the discussion about her father's ass. |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Amos Date: 13 Dec 07 - 09:54 AM Jacqui may believe he has no but, but it is common sense his legs have to stop somewhere. If they kept going right up to his shoulders, he'd be talking through what Jacqui says he doesn't have. Butt me no butts Fair Ladyes!! A |
Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: John MacKenzie Date: 13 Dec 07 - 09:52 AM If we restore his ass, it may learn to speak like Balaam's Ass. "The next morning Balaam saddled his ass and set out with the princes of Moab. On the way, the ass manifested every sign of alarm; it swerved suddenly from the path, crushed Balaam's leg against a wall and finally sank to the ground under him, so that Balaam cruelly beat it and even threatened it with death. Then the ass was endowed by God with the power of speech, and upbraided its master with his cruelty towards it." So be careful what you wish for, otherwise Kendall could end up talking out his ass. Subject: RE: BS: Kendall needs good thoughts as well From: Rapparee Date: 13 Dec 07 - 09:40 AM If this about Kendall be true, that he is bottomless (so to speak) then I suggest that Something Must Be Done. Anyone having anything they wish to donate to insure that Kendall isn't left bottomless please say so. I will lead off the Collection To Bottom Out Kendall (CTBOK) with one dozen of those screw lids that are used in home canning. Not the flat ones with the seal, the ones that screw down the one with the seal. NB: some might be just a little bit slightly rusted and/or contain remnants of a jar's former contents. We can send all this to Kendall and he can sell it at a Yard Sale and raise money for his new bottom. |
