Subject: RE: BS: What is the Illuminati? (Mason Ties?) From: mg Date: 07 Sep 04 - 11:47 PM We were taught as Catholic children to be terrified of them. I was in Portland with the Brownies and we came across the Masonic hall when we were for some reason loose on the town. We were terrified. We didn't know whether to turn around and run or race past it or what. We were on our way to see Mr. Moon, who was a TV star with a moon for a head. Well, before the show he had his moon head off..that freaked us out even more. Oh, we went to a museum and saw a statue of a naked man too. That was quite a trip for us little brownies. mg |
Subject: BS: What is the Illuminati? (Mason Ties?) From: Dewey Date: 07 Sep 04 - 11:42 PM After doing some esoteric writing, I started to become curious about the Mason's who seemed to have a higher ordered secret understanding of the mysteries of the Universe. I thought it might be intellectually stimulating to join and further develope the powers of my mind, But after hearing so much bad about this group I do not think (with my present understanding) that this would be a good thing. Some people say the group is "Satanic" Others says its part of, "The New World Order" Don't know what to think. But I did read some of the Oathe that is required, Breaking the oathe and spilling the beans about Masonic secrets, gets your tongue cut off (not a very loving group, even if metaphoric) Most U.S. Presidents were Masons, as Well as some Religious Leaders, Norman Vincent Peale, Robert Schuller, Kenneth Copeland, Oral Roberts and Billy Graham (though his official statement denies any involvement) Would Like to Hear From A Mason on this that can shed some light on the subject (regular light that is: not the unusual devil variety LOL) Also curious about the Lucifurian Doctrine described when reaching the 33rd degree in Masonry. Would like a scholarly take on this! I am a christian, and though I have an open mind toward the Masons, the oathes as well as the comradery make me un-easy. Would most likely never join the organization, but I am interested in learning more. I know the organization vows secrecy, but nothing can remain totally secret in today's world especially with the electronic digital age. Dewey |
