For the same reasons anybody else moans! We "folkies" are really quite a broad spectrum of people types. As in any other sphere of life you will find those who moan and those who don't. Of the moaners some will have just cause and others will be natural born moaners. That's life!

the point is mate, we all deserve to be stars like that git Robbie Williams. the world has got it wrong, it should be us that they're clapping and offering free sex, drugs and handfuls of money to.

I can't work it out, how the world has come to make such an elementary mistake about the nature of how things should be.

I don't see why we should have to change the light bulb, it was out before we got here, surely it's the club's responsibility, we can't be expected to climb up that rickety ladder and change it at our age, I haven't finished me beer yet, who tried to turn it on anyway, can't we just leave it for the darts team tomorrow?

I've been going to folk festivals for about six years now. Not long I know but longer than most apprenticeships.
I love the music/s I love the people, the crack, the company, the drink, the whole thing BUT I can't get hold of the moany thing. Singers moan about musicians, musicians moan about singers, smokers moan cause they can't smoke, smokers moan when they do. People are either too drunk or too serious. They can't take dogs/ other people dogs are a pest, the campsites too noisy/too quiet. The toilets are a mess, etc, etc, etc.
I would really like to be a complete Folkie so feel the need for someone to run a workshop on folkie moaning.
Does anyone out there feel qhalified to run one?
