Subject: RE: BS: knee Surgery From: Rapparee Date: 14 Feb 12 - 07:29 PM It's only fixed when you can pick your right hip pocket with the little toe of your left foot and your left front pocket with the little toe of you right foot, but from the rear. Practice them, these are skills you may someday need. |
Subject: RE: BS: knee Surgery From: Louie Roy Date: 14 Feb 12 - 03:33 PM Thanks all of you for your encouragement and advice.i knew that there were quite a few mudcatters that over the years have had knee surgery and it nice that you are willing to share your recovery.Maybe i'm hoping for miracles instead of waiting for the natural healing process and the PT treatments to run the course.Actual it has only been 30 days since I had the second surgery and I do get PT treatments 2 times a week and they do help. The PT person told me last thursday he had my knee back to 115% which he thought was excellent |
Subject: RE: BS: knee Surgery From: GUEST,Eliza Date: 14 Feb 12 - 06:51 AM Hang in there, Louie. It really does get better, but you must try to use it and move it to prevent adhesions. My dear friend Pat (age 75) had both knees done at the same time, and yes it was painful and she also got terrible constipation with the strong pain-killers. However, now she whizzes about on those knees, totally pain-free and as active as anything. She's never regretted it. Thinking of you and sending good wishes! Eliza. |

Subject: RE: BS: knee Surgery From: Rapparee Date: 13 Feb 12 - 07:00 PM Ah, but can you still play the banjo on your knee? I've had both knees operated one, on just last October. All I can say is that the pain goes away, mostly, eventually. |

Subject: BS: knee Surgery From: Louie Roy Date: 13 Feb 12 - 01:06 PM I couldn't find the original thread so I'll start another one just an update. One month after surgery with the exception of the nagging pain in my knee and after several bottles of pain medication and the after-facts I feel like the constipated China-man but this goes with the territory |
