When we were kids, back in the old days when we had 13 channels via cablevision, Saturday afternoons were when the old B movies were played on the second tier local channels across the region. Who knew there were as many Roman epics and Tarzan movies and Jungle Jim flicks - Harryhausen contributed to that glut, but his stop action effects brought his films to the next level. I went to see Jason and the Argonauts in a theater in a retro series - what a treat to see it on the big screen! SRS |
