I'll never forget George Bush SENIOR, campaigning at an American Legion convention on SEPTEMBER 7'th. He was laying it on, thick.
"This date of September Seventh, a date which will LIVE IN INFAMY !! ... we were attacked by naval and air forces of the EMPIRE OF JAPAN !! ..."

The Legionaires were puzzled. Does he mean December 7'th? This is September, right?

When you put New Hampshire and Vermont together in a puzzle I had as a child they formed a rectangle, and it was possible to put that rectangle in upside down.

Went to a concert in the 60s where the lead singer in the act forgot the lyrics to band's hit, the one they'd been touring with for months on end. I called the middle boy by the cat's name the other day. It happens.

On a U.S. map sent to comtributors that bears his signature, Kerry confuses New Hampshire with its next-door neighbor, Vermont. The map identifies New Hampshire, which voted Jan 27, as one of the 10 states voting on Super Tuesday, March 2. It identifies Vermont, which votes Tueday, as one of the states that has already voted for Kerry. As campaign manager Mary Beth Cahill said in the accompanying letter seeking contributions: "The enclosed map paints the clearest picture."
