Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: Nigel Parsons Date: 30 Oct 05 - 03:27 PM Donuel: Most systems will show you the URL of a 'Blue Clicky' if you hover the cursor over it. This allows the person posting to give the 'clicky' a snappier (and often more accurate) title Nigel |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: Donuel Date: 29 Oct 05 - 11:17 PM I prefer people to show an actual URL blue clicky instead of "click here". I feel its only polite and safe to see where people are being invited to go. Meanwhile due to a corrupt Mictosoft OS I can't view a media player program. My operating system was attacked 2 months ago. Since I virtually only post here I am inclined to believe that our chief resident troll is respondsible. Its easy to imagine the worst from the worst... C'est la Guerre. Even if he is innocent, would anyone here mind if his hardrive gets erased? |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 29 Oct 05 - 08:59 PM Hmmm - looked closer at this link above - something always redirects me to http://www.netauthority.org/.... That site site is a place where people list sites that are in violation of the Internet Acceptable Use Policy. What is funny is that Microsoft and many other big name sites are there... Looks like some sort of IP router clash is occurring with my path. |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: Mark Cohen Date: 29 Oct 05 - 04:51 PM Too bad more people couldn't see this...it's quite well done. For those who missed it, this was a "documentary" video, ostensibly created by Microsoft for IT professionals, about a new initiative called WE-SYP (We share your pain.) The idea is that whenever an error message occurs on an end-user's machine, a signal is sent to a central office identifying the Microsoft programmer who was responsible for the bug that caused the error. He or she then receives a response through a specially constructed chair--either two needles jab him in the butt, a "mild" electric shock comes through the armrests, or the back of the chair flips back and then forward, banging him in the back. Lots of earnest programmer/administrator types with deadpan explanations of how the system works. Aloha, Mark |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: Ron Davies Date: 29 Oct 05 - 04:33 PM Yeah, it is definitely too bad how many people are trapped in Bill Gates' slimy grasp. |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: stevenrailing Date: 29 Oct 05 - 08:19 AM awful. just awful. i hate microsoft. |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: The Fooles Troupe Date: 29 Oct 05 - 08:07 AM I couldn't find any video - but then I'm on dialup and nothing even looked like it was trying to load... |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: Ron Davies Date: 28 Oct 05 - 11:10 PM Gee, I must have read it wrong. I had Macroslop for 3 years (no longer do)--thought it said "Microsoft is your pain". |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: Bert Date: 28 Oct 05 - 09:47 PM I got fed up with waiting for the site to load. Good software is very easy to achieve. All you have to do is put the developer's home phone number on every error message that his code generates. Of course Microsoft don't have the balls to do this. |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: Stilly River Sage Date: 28 Oct 05 - 05:51 PM Certainly painful to try to see the thing. |
Subject: RE: BS: Microsoft Shares your Pain! From: John Routledge Date: 27 Oct 05 - 07:17 PM Just watched 1min 30sec of the video. So painful couldn't watch any more. |
